H1N1 Vaccinations Now Available at Healthscope
Healthscope Medical Centres are currently administering H1N1 Swine Flu vaccinations
The Commonwealth Government is encouraging all Australians to protect themselves and their community by being immunised against the new pandemic strain of influenza ("swine flu").
Where seasonal influenza affects the elderly most severely, the pandemic influenza strain has affected people in younger age groups.
Historically, severe influenza pandemics have occurred over two or more waves of infection. Overseas experience shows that the new pandemic influenza strain may not follow the usual seasonal pattern and could return to cause illness in spring or summer.
